Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Orlando, Florida
Universal’s Islands of Adventure is a theme park in Florida. The opening of this amusement park was on May 28, 1991. The tagline of this adventure park was “Live the adventure”.
It emphasizes over multiple journey of adventures where guests proceed from a main entrance to visit themed island.
In 2010, one more island opened which is the seventh island “The wizarding world of Harry Potter”. This was the largest investment since the park was inaugurated.

Universal Studios Hollywood – Los Angeles, California
It is a film studio and a theme park located in the community of San Fernando Valley, Log Angeles, and California. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios. The marketing tagline of this amusement park is “The entertainment capital of LA”. In 2013 the park hosted 6,148,000 guests, which stands 17th in the world and 19th amongst North American parks.
Europa-Park – Rust, Germany
It is the largest theme park in Germany and 2nd most popular resort in Europe. The park has 12 roller coasters. The oldest one is the Alpenexpress Mine Train, and the newest coaster is the Arthur which is an indoor/outdoor roller coaster. The park can accommodate 50,000 guests per day. In 2013 the park had 4.9 visitors. There are 5 resort hotels for guests.
Beto Carrero World – Penha, Brazil
Originally it was named after Brazilian business man and entertainer Beto Carrero. It was opened in 1991 and it is now the most important tourist destination in Santa Catarina. In 2012, it worked in collaboration with Dreamworks Animation and Universal Studios and this allowed characters to feature from both the film studios
PortAventura Park – Salou, Spain
It is a theme park and resort in Barcelona. Over 4 million people annually visit PortAventura and it is the sixth most visited park in Europe. The park has Aquatic parks and six hotels. Nearby, there are 2 airports within the range of 30 minutes along with train station which has connection with Barcelona and Satou.
The park features five theme areas which are based on historic civilization. The main entrance of the park is Mediterrania. It features 3 rides and has several restaurants and shops.
Cedar Point Amusement Park – Sandusky, Ohio
It is spread over the area of 365 acres and is located on Lake Erie Peninsula, Ohio. It was opened in 1870; it is the 2nd oldest operating amusement park in US. It is considered as the flagship of the amusement park.
The main operating season runs from May until Labor Day. Some prominent attractions of this park include a white sand beach which is 1 mile long, an outdoor water park “Soak city” and an indoor water park “Castaway Bay” along with several resorts.
Tivoli Gardens – Copenhagen, Denmark
It is a famous amusement park and a pleasant garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. It opened in 1843 on 15th August and it is the second oldest amusement park in the world. It had 4.033Mn visitors in 2012; it is the second most famous theme park in the world and 4th most visited park in Europe.
The park is best known for its roller coaster ride, named as Rutschebanen. It was built in 1914 and it is one of the oldest roller coasters. In 2009, it opened a new ride Vertigo.
Busch Gardens – Tampa, Florida
It was opened in 1975, operated by Seaworld Entertainment. Busch Gardens parks were originally developed as marketing vehicles for Anheuser-Busch. Over the time, rides and other attractions were also added to the park for visitor’s entertainment, The Park is divided into 7 separate partitions and each of them represents different European country.
