The Gangnam Style phrase famously refers to the oldest South Korean lifestyle dance, popularly referring to the District of Gangnam, Seoul. The Gangnam style dance form, recently in 2012, after the music video went viral the dance style gained much popularity. It became a kind of influential culture, the Gangnam style dance is performed on the most groovy and catchy beats.

 

Break Dance

The break dance has been further ‘’broken’’ into B-Boying or B-Girling categories, primarily, the dance consist of 4 unique elements, down rock, power moves, freezes and top rock. The typical break dance form was seen in the Americans culture in 1980s era and since then became a famous dance style.

 

Ballet Dance

During the 15th century, the Ballet dance seems to be originated from the roots of Italy  and later on developed further in Russia and France, the ballet dance evolved around to be having a major concert performing touch around the world, usually choreographed on the orchestral music and involved pointe toe work. The ballet dance can be varied from being romantic to expressionist and more.

Salsa is a typical syncretic dance form originated mainly from Cuba, though having particular movies, salsa is a partner dance. The dance moves are performed on the Latin American music, over the time we saw it spreading and people started tapping their toes from Europe, Australia, and Asia to Middle East.

The Aerial dance style is mainly a contemporary dance firstly recognized in the United States, in 1979s. The choreography, however, is quiet interesting as the dance evolved around using an aerial connected to the dancer and other surroundings, usually ceiling or roof. The dance is for sure the one requiring lots of balance and stability, it has become a famous one now and has been seen practicing by many dancers in different dance shows.

 

Jazz Dance

Lately, the Jazz dance style was seem to be originated from the African Americans in 1950s, in recent years, Jazz has become one of the most famous dance forms and the favourite one amongst some of the unique toe tapping dance styles around the world. When you are all set to groove on the peppy beats for jazz dance, be sure to be dressed up in clothes that allow you to move easily, it is the most energetic, fun loving dance form with fancy footwork and at the same time maintains the balance and grace.

 

Flamenco Dance

Having the roots from Indian, Spanish and Arabic, Flamenco dance form is known for its frequent pattern rhythms and the strict posture and framing of body. Flamenco is highly affiliated with the Romani people of Spain, the dance evolved to be having sequence of footwork, hand movements and particular hand clapping with the beats. It is a highly expressive Spanish dance form, usually for the solo dancers.

 

Folk Dance

Amongst some of the unique toe tapping dance styles around the world,  Folk dance is the most diversified dance form as it involved groups of people dancing together to reflect the cultural and traditional life of a particular region or country. It was originated in the 18th century. Folk dance is highly appreciated in India especially in the tribal areas and is seen being transmitted from one generation to another.
